UPDATED:8/14/2009 Hello, I'm Thomas "J.Soul" Burroughs, 24, born in Augusta Ga. Welcome to my Web site!!! I am a music producer/songwriter/videographer, who enjoys all aspects of media. Currently, I'm living in Atlanta following my dream of being a Super Music Producer. I've been in Atlanta since February 2008, but before that, it seemed as if I was doing EVERYTHING in Augusta. For five years, I worked as an on-air talent for two major radio companies, worked for one of the longest-running gospel television shows in America, and I worked for The Augusta Mini Theatre. Also working for my self as a DJ for different clubs and parties, I now am on a mission to not only follow my dreams, but bridge the gap between ATL and Augusta. I always knew I would be doing some sort of music in my life. My Dad, Carl "Sonny Soul" Burroughs was Program Director of WRDW in Augusta where James Brown "The Godfather of Soul" was the owner. When my father passed in '94, he was the co-owner of WKIM (Augusta) and had a weekly TV talk show "Hard Talk." I was only 9 when he passed, and immediately I had to grow up. My brother, Carl "DJ C-Blendz", was only 4, and my mother, Emma, were left and had to get to business. At the age of 10, my cousin Chanita called me the summer before our 6th grade year and suggested we get in band. I agreed and we both started playing the saxophone. I still play sax today, but since then I've picked up many other musical talents. To me, if you know music theory and can read and write music, you can learn any instrument. I play the keyboard, and drums as well. MOVING TO ATLANTA: August 1, 2008 me and my business partner, Dimitrius "Meet Meet" Stevens created MSV Music Group, an artist management company that now has three artists: LoSkii, Ms. Carter, and Baby Boy. Click the links for more info!!! 84 Soul studio, currently in Bankhead (The westside of Atlanta) is behind the sound of many underground Atlanta artist. RECENT ACCOMPLISHMENT: Baby Boy is now on the roster of an Atlanta-based record label, Grand Hustle. His songs "Stuntin'" ft. Yung LA and "Getting Money" ft. Young Dro were both produced by myself. . . "And I got the beat from J. SOUL"
